Adult Basic Education Network Forum

The Forum is made up of one member nominated as a representative by the Area-Based Networks and nominees of the Adult Education Board representing complementary interests.

The functions of the Forum are to:

  • Advise the Adult Education Board on all matters concerning Adult Basic Education
  • Resolve identifiable gaps in the Adult Basic Education landscape
  • Recommend measures to avoid duplication
  • Promote best practice in Adult Basic Education

The Forum meets five times per year and meetings are primarily focused on information-sharing. Two nominees act as Adult Basic Education representatives on the City Learning Forum Steering Group. The Forum also acts as the communication link between the Adult Education Board and the Adult Basic Education Networks.
